Math: Complete "On Your Own" page 133 and "Practise Your Skills on page 133 for Monday's Math class. Parents for students when they are doing the questions on "On Your Own" its very important that they are able to explain or show how they arrived at the answer. It's just as important to understand how the solution was arrived at as it is to answer the question correctly.

Christmas Concert Coming Fast!
*With Christmas Concert coming up really fast - next Wednesday, the 21st...I am asking your assistance with your son/daughter finding a suitable costume accessory for the role they have in the play, The Twelve Days of Christmas.
At St. Joe's, Grade Sixes traditionally have the most speaking parts in the concert play each year.
*Please keep in mind that we are looking for simple quick costume accessories that give the impression of 'dove' or 'french hen' etc, so small touches (a beak, hat, cape, etc are probably enough.
The characters of Mary and Joseph can be represented with bathrobes/ scarfs, veils, leather strings, sandals, etc
Please send whatever you create/find with your son/daughter to school as soon as possible!
Thanks!
By the way, parents & ,grandparents are welcome to attend either the morning dress rehearsal, starting about 9:30 a.m., or the evening concert, starting at 7:00 p.m.
See you there :)

Busy Season
Hello all - so we are all busy with getting the Christmas concert ready. The kids did well on their testing on Thursday and they are able to come and see their marks from me. Those students who were absent are able to make up for it on Thursday. I will have to check if my lunch hour is free that day, if not, then during music class. Health is going well, the presentations are coming along nicely. The props are great. I hope this is an indication of the Christmas concert. The sixes are doing well and until the next posting.

Hello everyone,
Mr.Gal is now blogging! Just a reminder that the lobby group cartoon assignment is due Tuesday Dec. 6th. As well, students received yet another review sheet for the final test which will be Thursday Dec. 8th. The test is very similar to the one they had a few weeks ago. It is important that they complete and study the review sheet so they are ready to write the exam.

Welcome Miss Leite
Well, I have joined the blog for the sixes. In Health, we are working on safety in various situations. The kids have key points of safety situation they must present to the class. We have working in groups about fire safety. They will have Monday as a last day to practice and we will present on Tuesday. I have asked the kids to bring in props and make the presentation exciting and creative. In Band, the kids will be having a playing test on Thursday. During this period, they will be working on theory handouts and I will call them in pairs to come and play for me. I will give the kids two weeks notice of a playing test and practice the piece in class. I expect them to practice at home as well.
