We did not do a new review this week. They have the week off from the review skills. We did a quiz on these skills using some new technology stuff. Ask them how they did.

We're working with recognizing prime and composite numbers.
Nothing has been assigned on this topic at home yet.

Review Skills #8 will be worked on in class and corrections to review #7. The #8 will be due Tuesday.

October 29 Concert

On Wednesday, October 29 we will be having our first concert of the year. The Grade 6 Band will be performing "Shine", "Fire Caves of Golgathon" and "Sword of Kings" and need to be at the school at 6:30 that evening in their homeroom. Dress is black on the bottom and white on top but please don't go out and buy anything just for this event. Please let us know if you have any questions.

In todays class they will have a chance to do their corrections and finish review #7. It is due Tues. Our next section is prime and composite numbers.

Busy Week!

A reminder of a couple of deadlines for TR-6 students:

Student Picture order forms and $ are due this Friday, 26th.

Terry Fox Run is scheduled for Friday morning beginning around 10:30, and Terry Fox Pledge Forms should also be turned in by Friday, 26th.

Math Sept. 16th

Most students did well on the first test. They were given back yesterday and should be brought home. That first section of work can go home. I recommend a binder to keep it in at home because they will need it to review for their exams at the end of the year.

Review booklets are due every week on Tues. #2 should be in tomorrow.

Welcome to L. A. 6!

BROWN BAG IT! - an activity where each student shares some information about himself/herself in an oral presentation by bringing objects to talk about collected in a brown paper bag. This activity is due this Thursday,Sept. 4th or Friday, 5th, and each student will present their bag of objects to a small group of classmates, and then some, perhaps up to 10, will present them to the whole class.
